Bulk Feed Silo

Bulk feed silos are big storage structures. They hold unpackaged feed materials or end products. Mainly for keeping a steady feed supply going, for production, processing or livestock farms. Bulk storage makes material handling smoother, also cuts down on packaging costs.

Main structure: Mostly vertical cylindrical, with a straight storage area at the top and a conical/bucket-shaped discharge silo at the bottom; the top is equipped with a feed inlet, rain cover, and vent valve, while the bottom has a discharge port and a screw/pneumatic conveyor interface; often includes ladders, maintenance platforms, and material level/temperature and humidity sensors.

Main materials: Hot-dip galvanized steel sheet (prefabricated, highly corrosion-resistant, quick to install); concrete silos are also used for ultra-large capacities; the inner wall is smooth to prevent material buildup and is easy to clean.
