A cone-bottom steel silo is a type of assembled steel silo made of galvanized corrugated steel plates with a conical bottom.It is specifically designed for storing free-flowing granular materials such as corn, rice, wheat, soybeans, paddy, feed pellets, and plastic pellets.
Its structure consists of three parts:the silo top,the silo body,and the conical bottom. The entire silo stands upright on a supporting steel frame structure,allowing materials to be unloaded by gravity.The smooth inner wall,without steps or flanges,ensures smooth material discharge.The conical bottom slope is available in three angles: 40°, 45°, and 70°. The 70°conical bottom steel silo is suitable for storing granular and powdery materials with high viscosity.

Structural Composition and Working Principle
Cone bottom silos typically consist of three main components:
- Top section: Provides rain protection, ventilation and material feeding functions.
- Body section: The main storage structure, fabricated from galvanized corrugated steel plates connected via bolts or welding, delivering excellent sealing performance and structural strength.
- Conical bottom: Features an inclined conical design with common angles of 40°, 45° and 70°. The 45° angle is ideal for free-flowing granular materials such as corn and wheat, while the 70° angle is more suitable for powdery or highly viscous materials.
This structure enables materials to naturally converge toward the center under gravity.By opening the bottom discharge gate,the silo can be emptied rapidly without additional silo cleaning equipment,thus saving energy and reducing maintenance costs.
