The design, manufacture, and installation of storage silos must comply with relevant national standards and industry specifications, such as structural strength, sealing, and corrosion protection, to ensure the safety and reliability of the equipment. Furthermore, regular maintenance and inspection are essential, including cleaning residual materials from the silo, checking for structural damage or corrosion, and lubricating moving parts to extend equipment lifespan and ensure production safety.

In terms of precautions, storage silos should be located away from fire sources and flammable or explosive materials, and the ground should be flat and firm to prevent tilting or settlement. Depending on the characteristics of the materials, ventilation, heating, or cooling systems may be necessary to maintain suitable temperature and humidity conditions within the silo. For materials that are easily hygroscopic or oxidized, inert gas protection or vacuum packaging should also be considered.
